Stampede 2019 - Official Contest Rules
Eligibility. You’re eligible to enter this contest if you are a resident of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) and are over the age of majority in your province of residence, as long as neither you or a person you live with is an employee, representative, or agent of SkipTheDishes Restaurant Services Inc. (“SkipTheDishes”, “us”, “we”, etc.), our affiliates, or our advertising or promotion agencies.
Contest Period. The contest is open from Friday, July 12, 2019 until Monday, July 15th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Winnipeg time (the “Contest Period”).
Entry. No purchase necessary. To enter, find the Twitter or Facebook post that we’ve published that identifies itself as the entry method for this contest and Retweet (Twitter) or Share (Facebook) the post. The Retweet (Twitter) or Share (Facebook) must be submitted during the Contest Period. Entries must be submitted from your own personal Twitter or Facebook account, and must stay up until the Contest Period is over. Limit one (1) entry per person. Each Retweet (Twitter) or Share (Facebook) that meets these requirements and otherwise complies with these rules constitutes one entry.
Selection of Winners. On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. Winnipeg time and in our offices in Winnipeg, we’ll randomly select one entrant (the “Selected Entrant”). We’ll contact the Selected Entrant by comment or direct message on the platform through which they entered, and ask them to solve a mathematical skill-testing question. The Selected Entrant must respond to us within one week with the correct answer to the question, and must be in compliance with these rules, in order to be declared a winner. If the Selected Entrant doesn’t answer the question correctly, or doesn’t respond within the one (1) week period, we may void that Selected Entrant’s entry and randomly choose a new one, and so on. We reserve the right to require any Selected Entrant to prove their eligibility.
Prizes. The winner will receive one (1) prize of $1,000 CAD in Skip Credits. To receive and use the prize, the winner will need a free SkipTheDishes account. Conditions apply to Skip Credit - see Part III, Section 3 of our Terms of Service. Prizes can’t be transferred or substituted unless we choose to allow it, at our sole discretion. The chances of winning depend on the number of correct entries that we receive and how quickly each participant provides a correct answer. There is one (1) total prize that may be awarded.
Errors and Malfunctions. SkipTheDishes and its affiliates (the “Skip Group”) are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any internet connection, computer systems, networks, servers, software, hardware, or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winning entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized holder of the social media account through which the entry was submitted. You are responsible for ensuring that any social media account through which you submit an entry remains active until the winner is declared, and that it is capable of receiving direct messages from us.
Important Additional Terms and Limitations of Liability. By entering, you agree to these rules and our Terms of Service, including the provisions that limit SkipTheDishes’ liability such as sections 9, 10, and 12 of the General Terms, which limit our liability and require that any dispute between us be resolved by way of alternative dispute resolution on an individual basis and not by class proceedings or other court process. You acknowledge and agree that those terms apply to this contest to the extent permitted by applicable law. You also represent to SkipTheDishes that you meet the eligibility criteria. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for fraudulent behaviour, submitting offensive or illegal content (including any content referred to in clauses 6(d)(i)(1) through (10) of the General Terms), violating the terms of use of the social media platform through which they submitted an entry, or for otherwise violating these rules or our Terms of Service. Automated entries are prohibited, and we reserve the right to void them. This contest is governed by the laws of Manitoba, and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Manitoba. We reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or change this contest at our sole discretion.
